This Data Policy describes how data is stored, processed, retained, and deleted when you use Fystash.
Data we store
Account and profile data (e.g., email, username, preferences).
Nutrition logs, meal entries, macros, hydration and weight logs.
Training programs, workouts, set logs, progress, and notes.
Community/social data (e.g., communities, invites, followers, privacy settings).
Uploaded media (e.g., meal photos, workout photos) when you choose to upload them.
Operational logs and diagnostic data needed for reliability, security, and abuse prevention.
Where your data is processed
We use cloud infrastructure and trusted service providers to store and process data. Some processing may occur outside your country depending on where you access the Service.
AI feature data handling
If you use AI features (e.g., chat coaching, food photo analysis), the content you provide (messages and images) is processed to produce outputs and may be temporarily processed by third-party AI infrastructure. We aim to minimize data sent and retain only what is necessary to provide the feature and maintain your history.
Data retention
We retain data for as long as needed to provide the Service, maintain your account, comply with legal obligations, and enforce our agreements. Retention periods can vary by data type and use case.
Deletion and account removal
You can request account deletion and deletion of associated personal data via /contact. Some data may be retained where required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., fraud prevention, security logs).
Backups
We may maintain encrypted backups for disaster recovery. Deleted data may persist in backups for a limited period until those backups are rotated.
Data access and portability
You may request access to or a copy of certain account data via /contact.
